We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer to join our well-established client, who are rapidly growing due to much success.

This opportunity is working PM Shifts:

  • 4pm - 2pm Monday - Wednesday
  • 4pm - 1pm Thursdays
  • Fridays Off (3 day weekend)

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of precision-engineered components using modern CNC machinery in a clean, well-equipped manufacturing environment.

The Role:

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision-engineered components safely, efficiently and accurately.

Programming experience is essential for this role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes
  • Produce first-off components to engineering drawing specifications
  • Modify and improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency
  • Maintain programme documentation and backups

Setting & Operating:

  • Set and operate CNC milling machines
  • Select appropriate tooling and fixtures
  • Manufacture one-off and batch components to tight tolerances
  • Carry out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments

Essential Experience Needed:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller
  • CAD/CAM Programming experience is essential
  • Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls.
  • Experience operating Haas and Matsuura machinery.
  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
