Through a structured training programme and hands-on learning alongside experienced engineers, you will gain the skills and experience needed to become a fully competent Traffic Signal Maintenance Engineer.Working across the Northwest region, you will support maintenance contracts covering:Greater ManchesterLiverpool City RegionCheshire West & ChesterWarringtonLancashireYou'll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining practical experience across all aspects of traffic signal maintenance and roadside technology. From installation and repair works through to cable testing, fault-finding and the commissioning of IP communication systems, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to become an integral part of our engineering team.As part of your development journey, you will be provided with:A fully electric company vehicleThe latest test equipment and toolingComprehensive technical training and mentoringOpportunities to work with cutting-edge traffic technologiesResponsibilities:Shadow experienced engineers and learn all aspects of traffic signal maintenance.Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signal and roadside technology assets.Carry out electrical testing, fault diagnosis and equipment inspections.Complete cable testing and fault-finding activities.Assist in setting up and commissioning IP communication systems.Complete reactive maintenance and planned inspection activities.Submit accurate job reports, site records and closure documentation.Develop competence on both Yunex and third-party equipment.Support the deployment and maintenance of new technologies, including:AI camera systemsAdvanced vehicle detection technologyNext-generation pedestrian detection systemsQualifications & Experience:Electrical18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. (Desirable)NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical or Electrotechnical discipline.
