The Presales Thermal Application Engineer will identify customer requirements & specifications. The Presales Thermal Application Engineer will review RFQ, evaluate the best trade off solution according to customer needs, budget, efficiency and project timeframes. Our portfolio spans power, thermal and infrastructure management products, software and solutions, and is complemented by a network of nearly 250 service centers worldwide.Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: - (This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)Development of technically and price competitive cooling solutions working closely with colleagues and/or external partners when needed.Provide support on hydronics, especially on projects where there's a coexistence of high density products together with chillers and other CW units.Provide Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes and tendersProvide Sales with pre-sales technical support when attending technical meeting, aiming to become a reference point in EMEA, being able to explain the whole thermal chain, from servers till heat rejection/heat recovery.Create and review application based documentation (drawings, specifications, electrical layout, presentations) enabling AE colleagues and Sales to secure the businessShare ideas and detailed design proposals to Product Management and Engineering teams for product improvement/development by applying a continuous improvement mindset.Provide product and application based training to the EMEA AE community and Sales to strengthen the know-how across the Vertiv's groupSupport WT activities and factory visits when needed.Attend in person meeting with clients when necessary supporting colleagues and Sales. Support that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itselfQualifications:Required/ Minimum Qualifications: School Background: engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experienceProfessional experience within the Datacenter industry with focus on High Density applications Excellent know-how of Data Center High Density trends, applications and related thermal management complexitiesExcellent know-how of Uptime Insititute Tier levels and related Thermal Management infrastructure design Language skills: fluent English written and verbal required Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientationAdditional / Preferred Qualifications: High focus on customer needsOpen mindedExperience in quoting/proposing/ managing projectsOrganized, self-motivated and proactiveAble to combine long term and short-term goals by setting priorities with high level directionsOrganizational skills and familiar with a decentralized environment but at the same time able to work in a teamAbility to interact with all levels within the organization from entry level to executivethe Fly, Integrity and Trust, Working in Teams, Communicate Effectively, Work/Life Balance.Physical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)NoneTime Travel Needed: -25%#LI-CB1Work Authorization
