You will continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.Job responsibilitiesApply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scopeDrive a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologiesWork with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processesExecute creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexityStrongly consider upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advise on mitigation actionsLeverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standardsApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automationManage stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and product supportability requirementsPartner with engineering and product teams to ensure remediation and permanent closure of issues and to identify trending issues to drive product improvementDemonstrate a high aptitude for both learning and teaching as product teams continually release new features and productsProvide follow-the-sun 24/7 on-call support through a distributed team spanning multiple time zonesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and advanced applied experienceDeep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessmentsStrong experience supporting and operating workloads within Amazon Web Services (AWS), including hands-on knowledge of core services such as compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and database technologies (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB, or Aurora) in a production environmentDeep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsFamiliarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and cloud platform certification(s)Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputsUnderstanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectationsFamiliarity with working in a large distributed system across a range of technologies including compute, databases, messaging, observability, and telemetryKnowledge of incident, change, and problem management processes and the controls that govern themUnderstanding of data-driven decision making and a drive to continue developing technical and cross-functional knowledgePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsKubernetes, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Terraform certificationsExperience working in a follow-the-sun or globally distributed on-call support modelFamiliarity with large-scale cloud migration or modernization initiativesExposure to observability and telemetry tooling in complex distributed environmentsABOUT USJ.P.
