A new opportunity has come up for a SQL Server Developer to join a growing legal software consultancy. This is a permanent position based in London.

This is a hands-on development and troubleshooting role requiring somebody that has worked across a range of database environments and can get up to speed quickly.

Main duties:

• Designing and maintaining T-SQL stored procedures.
• Providing troubleshooting support across a range of priorities.
• Investigating and resolving database performance issues.
• Working across several Azure SQL Database estates.
• Indexing strategy, query optimisation and locking and blocking.
• Reading and interpreting execution plans to identify and resolve performance plans.

Skills and experience required:

• Advanced working knowledge of SQL Server.
• Demonstrable experience working inside a large, mature schema.
• Proven experience of becoming productive and getting up to speed quickly.
• A background in legal or another highly regulated environment would be beneficial.
• Hands-on development and tuning on Azure SQL Database.
• Strong communication skills.
