Salary: Up to £20.00 per hour DOE
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm | Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
Overtime: x1.5 for hours worked over 39 per week
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman to join our client's growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong shop-floor background in architectural fabrication, welding or precision engineering, who has progressed into a senior or supervisory position - or an experienced time-served individual ready to take the next step.

You'll play an important role in leading the workshop, maintaining quality standards and ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately and on time, while working closely with senior management.

The Role

• Lead and support the workshop team, allocating work and helping manage daily priorities.

• Oversee the production of bespoke architectural and precision-fabricated products.

• Ensure work meets drawings, specifications, tolerances and customer requirements.

• Identify and resolve quality issues, rework and fabrication problems.

• Work closely with Sales Directors, management and other departments to keep projects on track.

• Monitor production progress, deadlines and workload across the workshop.

• Support and mentor less experienced members of the team.

• Ensure correct use of welding, fabrication, measuring and workshop tools/equipment.

• Ensure materials and components are correct and meet the required specification.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health & safety and workshop organisation.

• Assist with continuous improvement and identify ways to improve quality and efficiency.

About You

We're looking for someone with solid hands-on industry experience, ideally within architectural metalwork, bespoke fabrication, welding or a similar precision manufacturing environment.

You may currently be a Foreman, Workshop Supervisor, Senior Fabricator, Quality Inspector or experienced Welder Fabricator looking to progress.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong understanding of workshop processes.

• Good knowledge of workshop tools, machinery

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

• Strong eye for detail and a genuine focus on quality.

• Confidence leading a team and communicating with different levels of the business.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions on the shop floor.

• A practical, hands-on approach - this is not purely an office-based management role.

• FLT experience is desirable but not essential.

• Full UK driving licence desirable.
