We have an opportunity for an experienced Structural Revit Technician to join our team in the Manchester office.Our projects include large complex schemes with contract values over £200 million to smaller local client focussed tasks. We work both across UK with a diverse mix of clients and sectors including Industrial, Commercial, Residential, Advanced Manufacturing and Defence.We cover a wide range of disciplines in property and construction, you will play an important role in strengthening our structural engineering team not only within the Manchester office but also across our Northern Region. You will also have the ability to play a leading role on projects alongside a mentoring role for other members of the team.What you need to do to be effective in this roleTake a project lead role in compliance with BIM protocols. Review and agree BEP's and ensure the wider team are working to required standards.Prepare drawings using AutoCAD or Revit models and resultant production drawings, schedules, etc for the Ridge civil and structural engineering team and to assist other teams within RidgeWork with other engineering technicians and engineers within the team to develop models and produce general arrangement drawings, sections and details for structures designed by the groupLiaise with architects, building services engineers and other professionals both within Ridge and with outside companies to ensure that models, drawings, details, schedules, etc are developed correctly and in accordance with the design programme for deliverablesExercise the skill, care and judgement to be expected of an experienced engineering technician to ensure that civil and structural engineering drawings for which you are responsible are complete, correctly detailed and free from errorTake responsibility for checking own work and work produced by others, including external consultants, sub-consultants and contractors, embracing drawings and associated production deliverablesEnsure that Ridge document management and QA procedures are complied withComplete work to agreed timescales, programme and budgetary constraintsManage team technician resources and feed into the wider team resource meeting.Attend site inspections, project team meetings / workshops as required.Negotiate and agree deliverables, create and own information required schedules, oversee out monitor and report on progress.The skills and experience you need to have for this rolePreferably ONC or HNC or Equivalent in Building Structures or Civil EngineeringDesign office experience in similar consultanciesWorking on building projects in the UKProficient in the use of Revit Structure Software and BIM processesExperience of new build in structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.TPBN1_UKTJ
