We're looking for a Server Project Engineer to join a major infrastructure upgrade programme, supporting the migration of applications currently hosted on Windows Server 2012 and 2016 to Windows Server 2025 . Contract Details: Rate: £300-£350 per day Outside IR35 Duration: 12 months initial (With potential extensions) Location: Onsite 5 days p/week (Hereford) (Candidates will ideally need to be based locally) Start: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Assess application and server readiness for migration. Identify and resolve compatibility issues. Coordinate application remediation, testing, and migration activities. Work closely with infrastructure, security, application owners, and third-party suppliers. Support migration planning, cutovers, and post-migration validation. Essential Skills: Proven experience delivering Windows Server upgrade or migration projects. Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016 environments. Experience with application migrations, remediation, and testing. Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently within a structured project environment.
