Job Description

Senior Full Stack Developer up to £70k Manchester, Hybrid

Pearson Carter are working with a not-for-profit, NHS-contracted healthcare organisation that coordinates and delivers NHS primary and community eye care through a large network of local opticians.

In this role, you'll join a team working on green field projects and contribute to building secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications that support healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Working in an Agile team, guide and assist in the design, development and maintenance of a C# .NET-based greenfield healthcare application.
Collaborate with clinical leads and stakeholders to understand ambiguous problems and user needs then translate them into elegant software solutions or designs.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following industry and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act, NHS IG).
Provide day-to-day technical mentorship of Junior and Mid-level developers.
Conduct thoughtful code reviews, testing, and debugging of applications. Where necessary, pair up with more junior members.
Design, develop and support integrations with NHS FHIR, e-RS, and third-party APIs.
Stay informed about healthcare technology trends and regulatory requirements.

Experience

5 years of commercial experience in a full-stack role.
Significant hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-hosted .NET services at scale, including architecture decisions, performance tuning, and production operations.
Deep proficiency in C# and modern .NET (6), with strong command of async patterns, dependency injection, and building well-structured, maintainable codebases.
Strong proficiency in React - including hooks, state management (e.g. Redux, Zustand, or React Query), component architecture, and performance optimisation. Candidates with equivalent depth in a comparable framework (e.g. Vue) will be considered.

Salary

They offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience and up to £70k.

Location

The client is based in Manchester and are looking for someone to come into office 2x per week.
