Electronic Design EngineerTewkesburyPermanent£38,000 - £50,000Electronic Design Engineer required by a leading engineering and technology business, based near Tewkesbury to join their growing team.Working alongside a team of experienced engineers, the successful Electronic Design Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and manufacture of electronic hardware, with a strong focus on PCB design and layout. Working on a wide variety of projects, from concept through to production.Main Duties; Electronic Design EngineerDesign, develop, and support electronic circuits and hardware systems for both new and existing products.Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.Select electronic components and manage associated component libraries and footprints.Participate in Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) reviews.Support prototype assembly, board bring-up, testing, and validation activities.Investigate and resolve hardware issues using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.Produce and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and test procedures.Liaise with PCB manufacturing and assembly partners to support production activities.Work collaboratively throughout the entire product development lifecycle.Maintain accurate engineering records, revision control, and project documentation.The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Electronic Design EngineerExperience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.Multi-layer PCB design experience.Understanding of IPC standards and EMC compliance requirements.Experience with circuit simulation tools such as SPICE.Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, C, C#, or similar languages.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or engineering data management platforms.Experience of taking products from concept through to manufacture and ongoing support.What we are able to offer: Electronic Design EngineerTech schemeElectric car schemeMedical insuranceIf You are already a Graduate Electronic Engineer, Graduate Electronic Design Engineer, PCB Design Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Electronic Development Engineer You may also be suitable for this role.Please contact Anna Hinton 01453 829521Omega is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
