They use a combination of proprietary data, superior technology, and aggressive execution to achieve their trading objectives.The successful Python Developer will be involved in the design, development & maintenance of a new python platform to research, back-test and trade quantitative strategies.This will also include developing & maintaining the infrastructure, such as databases or client / server architecture, and building up a snapping framework to load data from multiple sources, including live market data or third party data.The junior python Developer position is a front-office position and the suitable candidate will work closely with the Quantitative team, notably on:Building pricing models from scratch, able to develop, modify, test, optimize and implement models and strategiesBuilding a research platform for back testing quant strategiesResearchDeveloping various trading tools (Excel, C++)Developing and maintaining various overnight processesPython Developers MUST have:Computer Science Degree2 years plus pure python development experience in a in a bank Asset manager or FundStrong analytical skills.Strong knowledge Excel and VBA and including advanced SQL.Knowledge of system design, programming & maintenanceExperience supporting production environmentsExperience with distributed processingExperience with client / server architectureExperience with web service.In depth knowledge and experience of developing in PythonStrong and proven experience with relational databases (eg SQL) and document store (eg MongoDB).Very good maths skillsYou MUST be AN EU Passport holder due to restrictions.This role suits a bright junior Python developer who is looking to further expand their commodities knowledge.
