Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation (blue light service)with various locations across Scotland, is currently looking to recruit a Programme Manager for an initial 12 month contract on a rate of £500/day (Outside IR35). This role will be mainly remote working, with potentially the occasional couple of days in the office from time to time.


Responsibilities:


- Lead a nationally significant transformation programme on behalf of the organisation.

- Manage delivery of multiple interdependent workstreams.

- Coordinate activity across all Directorates and operational functions.

- Manage significant capital and revenue programme budgets.

- Report directly to the Programme Board and Senior Responsible Owner.

- Coordinate internal and external resources involved in programme delivery.

- Oversee programme governance, assurance, benefit realisation and transition planning.


Essential Skills:


- Degree-qualified or equivalent relevant professional experience.

- Recognised Programme or Project Management qualification (MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ or equivalent).

- Significant experience leading large-scale programmes or complex organisational change initiatives.

- Experience of programme governance and assurance within a large organisation.

- Experience of managing substantial budgets and financial controls.

- Experience engaging with senior executives and external stakeholders.

- Experience of strategic risk and dependency management.

- Experience of supplier and contract management.

- Experience of producing reports and presentations for Board-level audiences.

- Excellent programme and project management skills.

- Strong strategic thinking and analytical ability.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills.

- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability.

- Ability to manage competing priorities in complex environments.

- Strong financial and commercial awareness.

- Excellent leadership and team development skills.


Desirable Skills:


- MSP Practitioner qualification.

- Experience of nationally governed programmes.

- Experience of business change and organisational readiness programmes.
