Process Design Engineer | Water & Wastewater | Belfast Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with an established engineering contractor delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure programmes across the UK.As their in-house design capability continues to grow, they are seeking a Process Design Engineer with water industry experience to support projects from early contractor involvement and tender through to detailed design and delivery.Initial workload will include ECI projects with Severn Trent and United Utilities, providing an opportunity to influence process solutions at an early stage while working closely with civil, mechanical, electrical and construction teams.Why this opportunity?Work on major water and wastewater treatment programmesImmediate exposure to ECI projects for Severn Trent and United UtilitiesInfluence process solutions from the earliest stages of project developmentFollow projects from optioneering and tender through detailed design and deliveryWork alongside multidisciplinary design and construction teamsJoin a growing engineering function with a strong long-term project pipelineYour new role as Process Design Engineer As Process Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing technically robust, efficient and buildable process solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure.You will be responsible for:Developing process designs for water and wastewater treatment projectsUndertaking process calculations, assessments and optioneering studiesDeveloping process flow diagrams and associated technical documentationPreparing process specifications, design reports and equipment requirementsSupporting ECI activities and evaluating alternative engineering solutionsWorking closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to develop integrated treatment solutionsCoordinating process requirements with civil and structural design teamsSupporting projects from tender through design development and detailed designProviding technical input throughout project delivery and constructionWhat you will need to succeed as Process Design EngineerDegree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious process design experience within the water or wastewater sectorStrong understanding of water and/or wastewater treatment processesExperience undertaking process calculations and producing technical design documentationAbility to develop engineering solutions within multidisciplinary project environmentsConsultancy, contractor and design & build experience will all be consideredChartered status, or progression towards Chartership, would be beneficial but is not essentialWhat's in it for you?
