With a dedicated Power Systems team and a strong focus on technical excellence, the company provides specialist support on complex electrical infrastructure and power distribution projects ranging from low voltage networks through to high voltage systems.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing technical team offering genuine career development, exposure to challenging projects and support from experienced industry professionals.Your new role As a Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering specialist electrical power infrastructure designs and providing technical expertise on projects across multiple sectors.Working as part of a dedicated power engineering team, your responsibilities will include:Designing electrical distribution systems from LV through to HV networksProducing power system studies including load flow, fault level, protection coordination and network analysisDeveloping substation, cable network and electrical infrastructure designsCarrying out site surveys and assessing the condition and suitability of existing installationsProducing technical reports, calculations, specifications and design documentationLiaising with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) regarding new connections, network upgrades and generation applicationsSupporting renewable energy and embedded generation projects, including G99 applicationsAttending client and design team meetings to present technical solutionsInspecting installations on site and reviewing contractor works during project delivery and commissioningYou will be involved in a wide variety of technically challenging projects and will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise within specialist power systems engineering.
