Job Description
Job Title: Logistics ManagerSalary: Up to 50K + BenefitsLocation: London (5 Days on site)Start date: ASAPReporting to: Head of Product & PlanningAre you experienced in automotive supply chain and logistics, with a strong grasp of how to keep vehicles moving efficiently from factory to forecourt? This role offers the chance to take ownership of the full UK supply chain for a fast-growing manufacturer, managing everything from shipping partners and port operations through to dealer delivery and stock control. You will sit at the centre of the business, working closely with Product, Sales, Finance and IT to ensure the network has the right vehicles, at the right time, in the right place. From improving logistics systems and managing complex supplier relationships to driving cost efficiencies and supporting new model launches, this is a hands-on, high impact role where your planning, organisation and commercial judgement will directly influence sales performance and customer delivery.Managing contractual relationships with shipping agents, Port of Entry and delivery companies, ensuring contracts are in place and KPIs are metWorking with Finance and Legal to ensure all tax and legislative requirements are metDeveloping IT infrastructure between the factory and Dealer Network to improve delivery accuracy and functionalityLeading supply chain operations to ensure vehicle availability, stock control and effective ageing policiesIdentifying opportunities to improve service levels and reduce contractor costsSupporting development of new facilities aligned with business growthDelivering central stocking to optimise vehicle availability for saleSupply Chain Management:Lead the VOD team to ensure dealer queries are handled within agreed SLAsEnsure timely vehicle availability to support dealer sales and profit targetsWork with the Product team to manage vehicle run-out and new launches, ensuring milestones are metCollaborate with internal stakeholders to meet overall supply requirementsWork with IT to improve customer-facing logistics systemsManage and monitor supply chain KPIsSupport development of new facilities with partnersDevelop and implement aged stock policies across storage locationsManage communications on supply status, including backorders and production constraintsSupport Sales Operations with monthly production order meetingsProvide reporting and insight on stock levels, lead times and vehicle coverageSupport forecasting activities to ensure correct model and powertrain availabilityPersonal Specification:Experience in logistics planning with strong analytical and organisational skillsStrong numerical ability and good PC skillsConfident presentation skillsKnowledge of import taxation and international legislative requirementsStrong project management and analytical capabilityExperience managing budgets and controlling costsFlexible approach to a broad range of responsibilitiesHigh attention to detailStrong communication and influencing skillsAutomotive industry experience preferredAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesOther Features of the Job:Willingness to travel as requiredFlexible approach to working hours
