As the successful Logistics Planner / Logistics Coordinator , you will report to the Operations Supervisor, supporting the smooth day-to-day management of our customers’ contracts and ensuring that collection and delivery expectations are met accurately and efficiently.
Location : Newport
Hours per week : Full-time 40 hrs per week
Salary : £26-30k p.a., depending on experience
Key responsibilities
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and update bookings, ensuring all key personnel are informed of any changes.
- Coordinate with Asset and Charter contacts to deliver optimal service.
- Assist with activities such as customs clearance and standkit transitions.
- Gather and compile information for weekly and monthly KPIs, reporting findings to the line manager.
- Collaborate with P&OFM staff at other sites to enhance customer efficiency.
- Maintain daily professional communication with customer personnel.
Your profile
As Logistics Planner/Coordinator you have previous experience of working in a customer focussed operational role and will possess excellent communication skills.
You will also have:
- Excellent organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and manage own work load
- An eye for detail and excellent customer service
- Confident IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels
Experience in transport/ logistics and Health and Safety knowledge would be an advantage; we are open to candidates with transferable skills from a role where you are used to working to multiple timelines and tasks. You must have a creative problem-solving mindset and the ability to learn quickly on the job. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role to get on site.
