We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a banking technology team, working on the development, modernisation and optimisation of enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong Java and Spring Boot experience, along with hands-on expertise in JVM tuning and application restructuring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Restructure and modernise existing applications to improve performance, scalability and maintainability
• Perform JVM tuning and performance optimisation
• Analyse application performance and identify bottlenecks
• Design and implement robust, production-quality solutions
• Work closely with engineering and technology teams to deliver application improvements
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues

Key Requirements:

• Strong Java development experience
• Excellent Spring Boot experience
• Hands-on experience with JVM tuning and performance optimisation
• Proven experience with application restructuring / modernisation
• Strong understanding of application architecture and software engineering principles
• Experience working with large-scale, production applications
• Banking or financial services experience is highly desirable
