Are you an experienced Application Support Analyst looking for your next opportunity within the financial services sector?

We are currently recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to join an established IT team within a leading wealth management organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong application support experience who enjoys solving technical issues, working with users and stakeholders, and playing an important role in maintaining and improving business-critical applications.

The Role

As an Application Support Analyst, you will provide 2nd and 3rd line application support, working closely with the Service Centre and wider IT teams to ensure incidents, problems and service requests are investigated and resolved efficiently.

You will take ownership of application-related issues from diagnosis through to resolution, ensuring users are kept informed throughout the process. You will also work closely with third-party suppliers where required and contribute to maintaining high levels of application availability, performance and service.

A key part of the role will involve supporting application changes and software releases, including impact assessment, planning, implementation, testing and post-change monitoring. You will work within an ITIL-aligned environment and follow established change and service management processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide effective 2nd / 3rd line application support across business-critical systems.

* Investigate, diagnose and resolve application incidents and problems.

* Manage service requests, assignments and scheduled support activities.

* Monitor application availability, performance and throughput.

* Communicate clearly with users and stakeholders regarding incidents and resolutions.

* Work with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues and manage escalations.

* Support application changes, software releases and testing in line with agreed change processes.

* Maintain accurate technical documentation and support procedures.

* Participate in disaster recovery activities where required.

* Provide guidance and training to colleagues and end users on supported applications.

* Ensure security, availability, capacity and service requirements are considered when implementing changes.

Technical Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting one or more of the following:

* Figaro – essential

* Salesforce

* Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio

* Objectif Lune PlanetPress

* INVU Document Management

* WhereScape / Data Warehouse technologies

You should also have experience with software release management, application testing and ITIL-aligned service management.

Experience using an IT Service Management platform such as ServiceNow, JIRA or Ivanti would be highly advantageous.

You will ideally have previous experience in a similar Application Support role within financial services, with a strong understanding of supporting business-critical applications in a structured IT environment.
