Application Support Specialist | Java & AWS | Application Support | Leadership£80,000 + Bonus + Excellent BenefitsHybrid - 3 Days Per Week (London)I'm working with a fast-growing technology business that's looking for a Platform Operations Manager to lead its platform engineering function and drive the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of a business-critical platform.The OpportunityThis role is ideal for someone from a strong Application Support or Platform Engineering background who's ready to lead a team while remaining technically involved.You'll be responsible for operational excellence, major incident management and platform reliability, while helping shape the future direction of the platform through automation, monitoring and continuous improvement.What You'll Be Doing:Platform OperationsTechnical LeadershipTeam LeadershipStakeholder ManagementContinuous ImprovementWhat They're Looking For:Essential ExperienceStrong background in Application Support or Platform Operations.Experience supporting bespoke business-critical applications.Previous leadership, mentoring or team management experience.Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP also considered).Experience working within Agile or DevOps environments.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and incident management skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.DesirableExperience with any of the following would be advantageous:MongoDBDockerTerraformJavaSQL ServerAPIs & MicroservicesWhy Join?Lead a highly skilled Platform Engineering team.Play a key role in shaping the operational strategy of a growing technology business.Work closely with Engineering leadership on business-critical platforms.High-trust environment with genuine technical ownership.Excellent opportunity to influence platform strategy while remaining hands-on.Package£80,000 base salary (flexibility for exceptional candidates)Annual performance bonusHybrid working (3 days per week in the office)Strong career progression opportunitiesCollaborative engineering culture with a focus on innovation and continuous improvementNo Sponsorship Available.If you're an experienced Platform or Application Support leader looking for a role where you can combine technical expertise, leadership and operational ownership, I'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
