For their electro-optical sensors group in Edinburgh, they seek an IC Validation Engineer with expertise in either Mixed Signal IP Validation or Top-Level System Validation.
In this role you will:
Develop and execute validation plans for IP blocks and subsystems
Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure successful IP validation
Carry out testing, simulation, and analysis to verify functionality and performance
Debug design and performance issues and communicate findings to the design team
Develop automation tools and scripts to improve validation efficiency
Support successful tape-out of analog IP blocks
You will build deep semiconductor expertise and gain exposure to highly complex mixed-signal semiconductor products. You’ll enjoy stable employment, a supportive team of colleagues, with opportunities to learn across different products and international sites.
Requirements include:
BSc / MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
A number of years’ industry experience in mixed signal IP validation
A strong understanding of circuit design and validation methodologies
Advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (LTspice, eDesignSuite)
Proficiency in Python and Perl for automation and scripting tasks.
