The position holder will be expected to comprehend all areas of flight operations and work flexibly across all functions of the department.What you'll doAs noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced.  Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.Actively promote and influence IOC/Dispatch decisions on IROP flights during night flight watchTo actively participate in nightly IOC briefing calls and provide operational updates and events as requiredSupport the European stations with cancellation notifications and delays during the night shiftEnsure an effective operational stand plan is accomplished through HAL/BA planners during the night shiftCoordinate crew transportation within the European stations, including delaying pick-ups, assist with deadheading crew movements and station startups/closures.Effectively coordinate aircraft arrival sequencing with internal departments and business partnersPrepare and deliver Flight Briefing pack to cockpit crews, to include ATC restrictions, fuel uplift, NOTOC and airfield resource notificationsManage ground to cockpit and ATC tower communications and escalate/resolve as appropriate.Ensure all ground events are logged and tracked within GET, servicing activities with business partners including but not limited to catering, ramp service, Lav/water/cabin, aircraft fueling, crew transport, crew hotels.Escalate late servicing to appropriate business partners and ensure resolution to avoid compromised timelinesMonitor APU usage and escalate non-shutoff or lengthy on ground use to maintenance for resolutionCoordinate crew transport pick-up and delivery to airfield, recording timings and managing late notificationsActively support and update respective flight Teams channels to ensure timelines are adhered toPrimary escalation for business partner servicing concerns and effective resolutionMonitor aircraft fueling dashboards and proactively address over fuels/discrepanciesCoordinate de-ice requests/sequencing/dashboards with business partners  All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceExcellent communications skills, (written, listening and verbal)  Ability to solve problems in a pragmatic mannerAbility to resolve conflicts effectively within time constraintsMust be self-motivated with the ability to motivate othersA good team playerBe reliable and punctualGood working knowledge of Company’s policies & proceduresStrong interpersonal skillsStrong administration and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and priorities demanding and conflicting workloadsAbility to work independently using own initiative and demonstrate a solution orientated approachHave a reliable and flexible approach to working hours (weekends, bank holidays, early and late start and finish times) Must be confident and possess the ability to build credibility and working relationships with AA staff, contractors, airport authorities and policeAbility to work under pressure with minimum supervisionWillingness and ability to successfully complete all relevant trainingBe in possession of a valid DVLA driving license, post holder must be willing to apply for a HAL driving license as and when requiredShow adaptability and have a willingness to changePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperiencePrevious experience of working in an airport environmentGood computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Feel free to be yourself at AmericanFrom the team members we hire to the customers we serve, inclusion and diversity are the foundation of the dynamic workforce at American Airlines.
