Temporary Finance Manager

Rate: £20 per hour

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Manager . This is a hands-on role requiring a strong all-round finance professional who can take ownership of core finance processes and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
• Managing PAYE and pension contributions
• Overseeing weekly and monthly payroll, including:
  • Approximately 50 weekly payroll employees
  • 10–12 monthly/weekly payroll staff
• Maintaining and reconciling both Sales and Purchase Ledgers
• Producing accounts up to Trial Balance
• Supporting general finance operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must be able to confidently and competently handle:

• End-to-end payroll processes (weekly and monthly)
• VAT, PAYE and pension administration
• Ledger management and reconciliations
• Preparation of financial data up to Trial Balance

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Finance role
• Strong working knowledge of UK finance regulations (VAT, PAYE, pensions)
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable handling a hands-on, transactional finance role
