Engineering SupervisorMerthyr Tydfil4 on, 4 off, Days & Nights£50,000 - £52,000We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Supervisor to join an established food manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.This is a hands on leadership role, responsible for managing a team of Multi Skilled Engineers and ensuring the site maintains continuous production through effective preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background alongside previous experience supervising or leading an engineering team within a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of Multi Skilled Engineers on shiftCoordinate planned and reactive maintenance activitiesRespond effectively to breakdowns and minimise production downtimeProvide technical and behavioural support to engineers and apprenticesDrive preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiativesAct as a technical resource for engineering projects and specificationsAnalyse maintenance and production data to identify areas for improvementPromote best practice across the engineering functionEnsure all engineering activities are completed safely and in line with company proceduresThe CandidateElectrical and/or Mechanical engineering qualificationPrevious experience in a maintenance engineering environmentExperience leading or supervising an engineering teamStrong electrical and mechanical fault finding knowledgePLC knowledge and operational awarenessDomestic wiring experienceBoiler / steam experience would be advantageousExperience with continuous improvement and Lean methodologiesStrong communication, coaching and relationship-building skillsOrganised, disciplined and able to work under pressureProactive approach with the ability to work on own initiativeThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Engineering Supervisor looking for a permanent leadership position within a well-established manufacturing environment, offering £50,000 - £52,000 on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.TPBN1_UKTJ
