Electrical Maintenance Engineer Facilities Management | Electrical Bias | Multi-SiteWere looking for a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Facilities Management engineering team.This is a hands-on role covering planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of sites, working as part of an established engineering team. Youll take ownership of electrical maintenance, fault finding and compliance while also supporting the wider team with general building services maintenance where required.If youre an experienced electrical engineer from an FM or building services environment and want a role where there is genuine opportunity to develop and progress, wed like to hear from you.What you'll be doing You'll be responsible for maintaining safe, reliable and compliant electrical systems across the portfolio, including:Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenanceFault finding, diagnosis and electrical repairsMaintaining power distribution, lighting, emergency systems and associated plantCompleting electrical replacements, remedial works and upgradesCarrying out inspections, testing and maintaining accurate recordsEnsuring work complies with BS 7671 and current UK electrical regulationsResponding to electrical faults and minimising disruption to site operationsMaintaining accurate job, maintenance and compliance recordsProducing clear reports on completed works and outstanding actionsLiaising with colleagues, contractors and the wider Facilities Management teamProviding technical electrical support where requiredSupporting other building-services maintenance activities as part of the wider engineering teamWhat we're looking for You'll need to be a qualified electrical engineer with previous maintenance experience within Facilities Management, building services or a similar commercial environment .Essential:NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised electrical qualificationStrong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenanceGood understanding of electrical regulations and safe systems of workExperience working within commercial buildings/FM/building servicesAbility to work independently while being part of a wider engineering teamFull UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites18th Edition Wiring Regulations experience/knowledge would also be highly relevant to the role.Your team You won't be working in isolation.You'll join an established team of five engineers , consisting of:2 Electrical Engineers1 M&E Engineer1 Plumbing Engineer1 Fabric EngineerThe team is overseen by the Technical Lead , with support from the Senior Operations Manager , giving you access to both technical and operational support.Callout There is an out-of-hours callout rota of approximately 1 week in 5 , with a £200 callout/standby payment .Training & progression We're keen to develop our engineers rather than keep people doing the same job indefinitely.Additional training is available across other engineering disciplines, allowing you to broaden your technical knowledge and capabilities.There is also succession planning within the team for future Technical Supervisor and Technical Lead opportunities , giving the right person a genuine route for progression.Why join us?
