Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerLocation: Edinburgh, UKAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team in Edinburgh. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and public sector projects.Key Responsibilities:Develop electrical designs for a range of building types, including power, lighting, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems.Produce detailed design documentation, schematics, and specifications to support project delivery.Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure fully coordinated building services designs.Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning to ensure designs are implemented effectively.Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design solutions.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where required.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.Skills & Experience Required:Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.4+ years of experience in building services electrical design.Strong knowledge of UK electrical design standards and regulations.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design software.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.Experience with energy-efficient or sustainable electrical design is advantageous.What’s on Offer:Opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects across multiple sectors.Supportive and collaborative team environment with professional development opportunities.Competitive salary and benefits.
