The Opportunity Our client, a specialist M&E contractor based in Burnley, is looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of electrical projects across their commercial, retail and industrial client base. This is a genuine contracts management role rather than running a single scheme: you would hold responsibility for delivery, commercial performance and client relationships across multiple live projects at once.You would manage site teams and subcontractors, oversee programme and cost across your portfolio, and act as the main point of contact for clients throughout delivery. The business has built its reputation on safety, compliance and getting things right first time, so this suits someone who takes ownership seriously and is comfortable being the person clients and site teams come to when something needs sorting.This is a permanent role based in Burnley, £60,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, plus a car or car allowance and a full benefits package.About the Business Our client is a specialist M&E contractor delivering electrical, mechanical and building services solutions, along with commercial fit-out projects, across the UK from their Burnley headquarters. It is a business that has grown steadily on the strength of long-standing client relationships, built on reliability and doing things properly.What You'll Be Doing Taking ownership of a portfolio of electrical projects, from award through to completion and handoverManaging site teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to specification, safely, on time and within budgetOverseeing programme and commercial performance across your portfolio, including cost control and variationsActing as the main point of contact for clients throughout delivery, managing expectations and building long-term relationshipsEnsuring health, safety and quality standards are maintained across every project in your portfolioCoordinating resource, labour and materials across concurrent projectsManaging testing, commissioning, handover and close-out, including client sign-off and documentationIdentifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts through consistent, reliable deliveryWorking closely with the wider business to ensure consistent standards and a joined-up approach across projectsWhat We're Looking For A strong electrical contracting background, having managed multiple live projects concurrentlyProven experience running a portfolio, not just single schemes, with commercial and programme ownershipConfident managing site teams and subcontractors, and comfortable holding people to standardStrong client-facing communication, able to build and maintain long-term relationshipsExperience across commercial, retail or industrial electrical installation and fit-out workSound knowledge of current electrical standards and regulationsRelevant electrical qualifications; NICEIC or equivalent is an advantageFull UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experienceCar or car allowanceFull company benefits packageOwnership of a varied portfolio of projects rather than a single schemeA business that has grown steadily on the strength of its reputation, with clear opportunity to grow furtherTPBN1_UKTJ
