ADMINISTRATOR / DOCUMENT CONTROLLER – EXETER Location: Exeter Rate: £18.00–£19.00 per hour Position: Full-time, site-based Training: Full training provided We are seeking a reliable and highly organised Administrator / Document Controller to join a busy construction project in Exeter. This position would suit someone with excellent computer skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage information accurately in a fast-paced working environment. Previous construction or document-control experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided. Key responsibilities: • Managing and maintaining project documents and electronic filing systems • Uploading, downloading and distributing drawings, reports and other documentation • Ensuring documents are correctly named, recorded and issued to the appropriate people • Maintaining document registers and tracking revisions • Providing general administrative support to the project team • Preparing spreadsheets, reports, meeting notes and correspondence • Monitoring emails and responding to document requests • Assisting with site records, health and safety documentation and quality paperwork • Ensuring confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately • Liaising with site management, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives Essential requirements: • Excellent computer and IT skills • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and electronic filing systems • Excellent organisation and attention to detail • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines • Professional, dependable and willing to learn • Comfortable working as part of a busy construction project team Previous experience in construction administration or document control would be an advantage, but applicants with strong administrative and computer skills are encouraged to apply.
