Business Development Associate - Insurance

c£40,000 + car allowance and uncapped bonus
A rapidly growing, boutique Insurance Broker is seeking a sales professional, to sell Dental Indemnity insurance to dentists, dental practices and groups in the central region of the UK. This is a home-based role, with regular travel within the Midlands.
Reporting into the Area Manager, the successful candidate will have access to an established pipeline, existing relationships and the wider market, whilst developing their own client base. There is definite opportunity to progress and manage their own territory in time.
The role will entail:
- Learning Dental Indemnity and the dental profession as a whole
- Learning the company products and client strategy
- Developing a sales pipeline in the Midlands
- Following up on leads, enquiries and introductions
- Attending in person client meetings (initially with Area Manager and in time on own)
- Securing new business
- Promoting brand awareness
- Attending conferences and events
- Establishing a personal book of business
The person will ideally have:
- Experience in insurance and/or dentistry
- Experience in B2B sales/ business development/ account management (gained in financial services of healthcare)
- Confidence in a client-facing environment
- Strong rapport building skills
- Ambition to build a career in field sales
- An outgoing, driven and tenacious personality
- Self-motivation to work from home and manage own diary
- A full UK driving license and the ability to travel regularly
