Job Description

Financial Controller
Location: Broughton, Chester
Hourly Rate: £37.91 Umbrella / £28.34 PAYE
Hours: 35 hours per week, working 4.5 days
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)
Interview Process: One-stage interview
Shape Financial Performance for a Growing Airbus Operation
Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to support Facilities Management, Real Estate (FMRE) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across the UK, with a particular focus on the expanding Belfast operation.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a trusted Finance Business Partner within a highly collaborative, international environment. Working closely with operational leaders and supported by a dedicated transversal finance team, you will provide financial insight, challenge business decisions constructively, and help deliver key financial objectives across a diverse portfolio of projects and operational activities.
What You'll Be Doing
As the single point of contact for financial matters across the Belfast and wider UK FMRE and EHS teams, you will:
Act as the finance representative and key link between the business and the wider finance function.
Deliver financial reporting across operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) activities.
Provide detailed cost analysis, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and performance gaps.
Support planning activities across the full FMRE and EHS cost base, including forecasts and operational planning.
Develop financial models to support facilities, environmental and capital investment projects.
Monitor and challenge expenditure, ensuring procured services and utilities remain aligned to budget and business targets.
Support strategic business initiatives, including integration and transformation programmes.
Ensure compliance with internal financial processes, controls and governance requirements.
Drive performance improvement through meaningful financial insight and recommendations.
Coordinate corrective actions and mitigation plans where required to support effective decision-making.
Produce timely, accurate and valuable financial reporting that supports operational and leadership teams.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
You will ideally bring:
Experience within Finance, Accounting, Financial Control or Business Controlling.
Strong analytical skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decision-making.
The ability to interpret large volumes of financial data and translate findings into actionable insights.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
The flexibility to switch between strategic thinking and detailed financial analysis.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within international teams.
Fluency in English; French and/or German language skills would be advantageous.
Why Join Airbus Through Guidant Global?
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major international aerospace organisation during an exciting period of growth and development. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, influence business performance, and gain exposure to high-profile operational and capital projects.
Benefits Include:
Competitive hourly pay rates.
Opportunity to work within a world-leading aerospace business.
Exposure to complex and impactful financial projects.
Collaborative and supportive team environment.
Inclusivity Statement
Guidant Global and Airbus are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and are dedicated to providing equal opportunities regardless of background, experience, identity or circumstances.
Ready to make an impact? Apply today and help shape the financial performance of one of the world's leading aerospace organisations.
