Control Systems Engineer – Reading

A growing engineering team in Reading is looking for a Control Systems Engineer to lead the design, development and commissioning of advanced automation solutions.

The Role

• Lead full project lifecycle delivery
• Develop PLC/SCADA/HMI software (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider)
• Produce specs, design docs and reports
• Commission systems in live environments
• Work across multidisciplinary teams and maintain high engineering standards

What You’ll Need

• Degree in Control/Automation/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Strong project engineering and client‑facing skills
• Experience in sectors like Food, Utilities, FMCG, Process or Materials Handling

Tech Exposure (Desirable)

PLC, SCADA, HMI, MES, industrial networking, OT systems, functional safety, OT cyber security
