With over 15 manufacturing sites worldwide and annual revenues exceeding 400 million, the business supplies precision-engineered products into the aerospace, defence, semiconductor, energy and industrial sectorsThis is a hands-on leadership role overseeing production operations within a high-precision machining environment. You’ll lead skilled manufacturing teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimise machining processes, and ensure the delivery of complex projectsProduction Manager Responsibilities:Lead and manage day-to-day workshop and production operations within a precision machining environmentDrive production performance, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are consistently achievedOversee CNC machining operations including milling, turning and multi-axis machiningSupport new product introduction and process development from concept through to productionDevelop machining strategies, tooling selection and fixture design to improve productivity and efficiencyLead Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the production departmentManage production planning, resource allocation and operational performanceWork closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Supply Chain to deliver business objectivesLead, coach and develop production teams, creating a positive and high-performing cultureProduction Manager Experience:Previous experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Workshop Manager role within precision engineeringStrong background in CNC machining with hands-on knowledge of milling, turning and multi-axis machiningExcellent understanding of tooling, fixture design, machining strategies and process optimisationExperience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) and production process developmentProven people management experience with the ability to motivate, develop and lead high-performing teamsStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologiesGreen Belt or Lean Leader certification would be advantageousFor more information on the Production Manager position, contact Ewan at Stirling Warrington INDOTH
