You will be responsible for:Leading the delivery of building structures projects across sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, education and public sector developmentsProviding technical leadership across structural design projects, including reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry and associated structural systemsManaging project delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction stagesProducing and reviewing technical reports, calculations, specifications and design informationActing as a senior point of contact for clients, architects, contractors and project stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across Northern IrelandSupporting business development activities including networking, bid preparation, fee proposals and work-winning initiativesIdentifying new opportunities and contributing to the growth strategy for the Belfast structures teamMentoring and supporting future members of the structural engineering team as the discipline developsWhat you will need to succeed as Associate / Associate Director Structural Engineer To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:Technical experience:A degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related disciplineChartered Engineer status with IStructE, ICE or an equivalent professional bodySignificant experience delivering structural engineering projects within a consultancy environmentStrong technical capability across building structures design and engineering principlesExperience managing technical delivery, design teams and project outputsCommercial and leadership experience:Proven experience developing client relationships and supporting business growthA track record of contributing to successful bids, fee proposals and winning new workExperience mentoring engineers and supporting team developmentStrong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and build a sustainable project pipelineThe ambition and capability to establish and grow a structural engineering team within BelfastWhat's in it for you?
