Application Developer

Location: 2 to 3 days in either London, Manchester, Leicester, Hursley, Glasgow or Edinburgh

Day Rate: 560 a day via Umbrella company

Duration: 6 months

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer (DevOps) to join a high-profile Government programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a complex technical environment, supporting application development, integrations, automation, and DevOps best practices across critical systems.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Scripting experience including:
  • ANT
  • Ansible
  • Bash Shell
  • Terraform
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong experience with:
  • Jenkins
  • AWS
  • Git
  • Docker
  • Liquibase
• Ability to work effectively with remote client and delivery teams
• Experience supporting integrations with external applications

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain enterprise applications within a DevOps environment.
• Build, enhance, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate deployment and infrastructure processes.
• Support application integrations across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, deployment, and environment issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and DevOps best practices.
